SCCA Collection: SCCA Gear and Race Car Merchandise

I guess it was the huge box of Hot Wheels that first started my fascination with race cars. As a kid, I imagined I was actually driving the car on the orange plastic track to the finish line across the room. I was always on a quest to see how fast I could make them go. Today, I enjoy the same thrill but only on a much larger scale.

Whether your racing passion is professional or just as a weekend spectator, there’s nothing better than an afternoon at a race. For me, the scream of the engines at the local track brings back those pleasant memories as a kid and then later sharing endless stories with my friends of my view of the race action.

Eventually I attended my first National race event and thought I was in heaven. The day was perfect and we stayed until the very last race. The only that that would have made the day better would be if I had remembered to save my race program or to buy a souvenir on the way out. The day was forever burned in my memory, but having a souvenir would have been my treasured prize to help relive the day. Luckily, years later I came across the race program available on online which I immediately purchased and still have to this day.

I can’t believe how fortunate I was to find that out-dated, out-of-print race program.
